Site visit at the Wastewater Treatment Plant of the Larnaca Sewerage and Drainage Board
The Cyprus Water Association (CWA), in collaboration with the Cyprus Young Water Professionals (CYWP) team, organized a technical visit, on July 6th 2023, at the Wastewater Treatment Plant of the Larnaca Sewerage & Drainage Board (LSDB) (https://www.lsdb.org.cy/).
Special thanks to Mr. Spyros Georgiou, Electrical Engineer, and Mr. Charalambos Papanikolaou, Chemical Technician, for their presentations regarding LSDB’s projects in sustainable development and the wastewater treatment process as well as for the tour at the Wastewater Treatment Plant facilities. Thanks also to the other members of the SAL team, who contributed to the success of this event, as well as to the General Manager, Mr. Angelos Hadzicharalambou, who gave his approval for the visit.
This visit was part of the ongoing efforts between CWA and CYWP to bring together professionals from the academia and the private and public sector aiming to foster knowledge exchange regarding water and wastewater management while considering sustainability and protection of the environment.
