Launching the CyprusWaterTalks
The “CyprusWaterTalks” is a new initiative by the Cyprus Water Association (CWA) and the Cyprus Young Water Professionals (CYWP) with the objective of addressing current water management issues in Cyprus. As the name implies, the CyprusWaterTalks will be talks, in webinar or seminar format, and will cover the following themes:
- Water resources
- Water supply
- Waste water
- Storm water
At the CyprusWaterTalks national and international speakers will present relevant work studies and innovative approaches and applications from Cyprus and abroad. This initiative is launched in 2021 and will be an annual activity of the CYWP and CWA. The talks will be held every 2-3 months starting in February and then in April, June and October. Each event will have a duration of approximately 1.5 hours at which invited guest speakers as well as CWA Senior Members and Young Water Professionals shall present.
The CyprusWaterTalks aim to bring together water professionals from industry, academia, research and government organisations to share knowledge and experiences and contribute to an improved and sustainable water sector in Cyprus.
