Climate change and continued drought periods have adversely affected the natural water resources of Cyprus. Alternative sources of water as well as rational management of water resources and wastewater are required to be implemented. Increasing pressures on the aquatic environment necessitate the implementation of sustainable water development and management policies through the design, implementation and optimal operation of infrastructure projects and the management of both supply and demand. The Cyprus Water Association, through the cooperation with all stakeholders, aims to contribute to widen and enrich the knowledge in the field of water and wastewater and to promote the sustainable management of water resources.
